This was one of the first games purchased on GoG and I can't say I'm very impressed with the distribution effort by GoG. Just to play the game you have to fix/workaround 4 well known issues. 1. While they have disabled the CD check, they have left the drive check enabled. You you have to have a .ISO of something (doesn't matter what) mounted in windows , just so the single player campaign is available. There is a 3rd party disable available, if the workaround is too annoying. 2. Fix: The single player campaign or instant action will crash unless you delete/rename the resource/images/planets folder. This is a well known bug in the final official patch. GoG should have fixed this or at least warned owners of the need to fix it themselves. 3. Fix: The game is unable to save games, it will appear to do so, but you'll find that it didn't actually save. Potentially being very annoying depending on how far into the game you got before you realise. Fix: Create a folder called "Saves" in the base game folder. GoG should have either fixed this , or documented it fo owners to fix. 4. There is a know bug that affects progress in Wolf's Lair and a couple of other missions. These are well known and are due to bugs in the game code that affects most modern machines. Fix: There is a Community developed mod that fixes these issues. This should be documented so owners don't get halfway into the game only to get frustrated.
