Of the original thief games, this one is the best in my opinion. The levels are huge and so well designed with more interesting enemies than the original. The AI is incredible and entertaining. The gadgets are fun to mess around with, and the world is incredibly immersive. The sound design is top notch. You can play this game with your eyes closed and know where every guard is just by the sound. No other game I know of has better sound propogation effects. Though the grapics are dated, I think they're stylistically charming and similar to what many developers are emulating nowadays (i.e. dusk, strafe). In short, this is a must-play for anyone who enjoys stealth even casually or amazing world design. Also, I originally played this from a cd.
