The graphics is exquisite and the story is a great insite in old Slavic myths and legends. The gameplay reminds heavily on Slay the Spire, which is not a criticism at all - it's fun and tactical. Exploring the world of Rusalkas, demons and other lore has never been this beautiful and fun. Well worth the admission price.
This game **GETS** Warhammer 40K. The presentation is flawless - everything from the intro video, the soundtrack, the voice acting, the graphics to UI just oozes Mechanicus. Special spotlight goes to the incredible soundtrack which completely sells the techno-gothic feel of this world. Additional good news is that behind the presentation there's a very well built tactical game as well - with good campaign connecting a challenging set of battles acted out by your customizable techpriest forces. It has multiple endings, multiple paths through the campaign and good storytelling to go along. If there's one criticism it would be that towards the end the game can get too easy and a bit repetitive. But for the price of admission, this is easily one of the best Warhammer 40K games on the market and also one of the best turn based tactical games as well. Don't miss out on it.
The Forgotten City tells a compelling mystery story set in a hidden city of an ancient world. Featuring compelling charaters, plenty of side quests, great visuals and good voice acting. The small, self-contained 6 hour story is well told, well paced and does answer all the main questions while keeping its characters memorable. This is not an action game however - so if you're expecting a lot of combat, stay away.
This is one of the most innovative and unique city builders I've played - the fact that it has a strong narrative driving the Mars terraforming project makes it into a unique experience. It's hard to talk about the story without spoilers, but it's certanly not without twists and turns. All that is connected with a enjoyable building engine. It's not perfect - there are some minor bugs and late game does start to drag on a bit with high terraforming requirements. But this does not diminish the uniqueness of the experience.
