I downloaded this game because I previously played "Pirates of the Caribbean" by the same developer. Pirates of the caribbean almost hit the spot for me although i felt it lacked content and quests. Ok, so far so good. Newer game, good reviews, and same engine must be what I'm looking for. Immediately I get disappointed by the busy menu's as if they were made by a child. POTC was looking much more sleek and pleasing to the eye. This shouldn't ruin the gameplay too much so I started off by playing a Dutch merchant. After browsing the town a bit which felt way more lively than in POTC (even though there was some recycled content from that game) I immediately got quests a plenty. After trading with the merchants in some very messy and busy menu's I set sail. Immediately after leaving the port I met a pirate. I got boarded, got killed, GAME OVER. Start new game: Sail to some island. Meet a pirate. can't escape it. Decide to fight it again. die. GAME OVER. This game gave me what I wanted from POTC. But it also took what I liked about POTC and ruined it in every single way.
