Two Worlds II: Epic Edition

Pleasantly surprised

I had purchased both Two worlds 1 and 2. After completing the first I began my play through of 2. The graphics are decent although if the "blur" gets to you you may need to disable HDR. The open world is impressive in scope and was enjoyable to explore. I will say though that the first half of the game almost appears to have been created by a different team than the second half. The first half is much like the first game in that it is more of a grind, just kill things and get more powerful and do mostly unconnected quests with almost no story. Suddenly half way through the game you find yourself in a story that brings the game to life and pulls you in. I gave the game a 4/5 and wasn't being overly generous, I truly believe the second half of the game earned it, the first half on its own would have only gotten a 2/5.

Two Worlds Epic Edition

very tedious

Just finished the game ans here are my notes. Very tiring to play, if I hadn't forced myself to finish it I would have simply quit. No engrossing story to speak of, just a perfunktory storyline that in no way pulls you in. Only but it if it's on sale and you are really desperate for something to burn time on.

Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Best of the series.

Origins has the best story and most tactical combat in the series as well as in my opinion better facial animations than any of the games that have come since. I've played through Origins and 2 many times over and Inquisition twice so I say this as a fan of the series.

O.R.B.: Off-World Resource Base

My go to time waster for over a decade

O.R.B. was one of the games I loved back in the early 2000s. The game is a lot of fun while also being challenging in the campaign mode. I drove my wife crazy playing this game right up until Win7 when I couldn't get it to run anymore. I bought the game at the time of release and certainly never regretted it. My only concern is I've seen several reviews saying it won't run properly on AMD hardware, and having an AMD RX590 graphics card and a Ryzen 5 3600x its unplayable at anything above the lowest resolution. Also there is no indication of what patch this game is on that I can find. But the game on its merits is a great game likely one of the best and most underrated for its time.
