I bought this on launch, played through it twice and then unistalled it for two years. Initially I didn't have a lot off game breaking bugs but it felt unfinsihed. The same 5 NPC's make up every crowd. There's about 5 animations for NPC's in the world. It's all so shallow, and there's nothing to see that makes exploring the empty world justified. I reinstaled it 2 years after launch and nothing has changed. It runs better, but the actual game is still awful. It's not an RPG, as you don't get to role play a character. You get to walk a pre written character down a path you have no control over. It's 100% linear in story and you can't influence it at all. It's also one of the least cyberpunk games that aims at that genre. Cyberpunk isn't just body mods and neon lights, but that's all this is. The writting throughout is dreadful. It tries so hard to be cool and edgy but it just comes across like something on r/im14andthisisdeep. It's just bad. I'd forgetten about almost all of the characters and story beats in the two years between play throughs. Some of the VA work is also dreadful and a lot of the characters vary a lot in quality of recording. Keanu Reeves is also a very bad addition, he's not a VA and it shows. There's a lot of good mods now though that make this more playable, but so far not much in the way of good content expansions. But modders have still done way more to fix this that the studio. Mods to fix the cars. broken quest triggers etc make it something that can be finished without a headache. Lastly, it's a really easy game. There's no challenge to it even on higher diffficulties, you'll walk through the terrible AI until the moment you meet a totally normal looking gang member who is immune to you hits but can take you down in 2. I've no clue if this is a bug, but it's bizarre. Don't buy this. It's not worth it unless it's free. It's just a straight up bad, forgettable game.
