FATE

Not Diablo

I read a bunch of reviews calling this a cartoony Diablo so I thought I'd give it a try. Nope. It's not that.

Mordheim: City of the Damned

Waste of disk space

Just lame. The trailer and preview images looked cool but after downloading it, installing it, revving it up and getting ready to go, just couldn't help but feel like I was looking at a White Castle dressed up like a Whopper. Uninstalled.

Death's Door

Excellent

Another one of those titles I grabbed cuz it was on sale and my kid thought it looked cool. It's really well done and has the perfect mix of challenge and adventurous frolicking. I'm only a few hours into at present but GREAT GAME so far.

SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech

Very light and fun

I got hooked on the PS Vita versions of SteamWorld Dig. I love the art and the character movement of all the games and this one definitely feels like it's a part of the family.

Agarest: Generations of War 2

Not like its predecessors

I've played and beaten every member of this franchise from Spectral Souls to Agarest Zero and loved them all. This one sucked. The combat system destroyed everything! All the other games maintained a similar combat feel that really helped with the continuity, going from one title to the next. This one just took the cute character design and game mythos and ran with its plunder in its own direction. Mega suck and unplayable.

Sundered®: Eldritch Edition

Nice platformer though it loses its edge

I didn't really know what to expect when I bought this and was pleasantly surprised for the first few hours but then it got a bit blah. There's very little in the way of unique character design, you feel like you're fighting the same little robots again and again. The giant statues that gift you with abilities are really cool and I love the language they concocted for the game as well as the sound design but I don't feel any need to go further than I've gone and that's a bit sad, cuz the game looked promising.

Warhammer: Chaosbane

It's ok.

I was really excited about this one at first but after playing for 6 hours or so, it's just so boring and redundant and disappointing.

Grim Dawn

Simply awesome

Beautiful game though it did get a bit redundant towards the end and I found myself wishing there was a tad more variety to the monsters and that there were some evil female enemies too as most of the opposing characters were skeletons, plant-based monsters, zombies, male wendigos, etc. Just would've been nice to have a bit more eye candy and breadth (like have in Hellsing, for example). That being said, I spent like 40 hours playing it and thoroughly enjoyed it so my gripes are totally minor. Definitely worth it.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition

Wonderful and beautiful

Really enjoyed this game. Excellent in single player and multiplayer. Very much recommended if you like the genre.
