I played the remake first as I got into Resident Evil for the first time around this era, I really liked the reamake but certainly now can see why so many were dissapointed. This has the same non linear feel that re2 provides but with more unique areas and enemies in my opinion. Not to mention a fun mercenaries mode that was missing in the remake. Get if a fan of the series and enjoy or don't mind tank controls.
