I stumbled across the original Baldur's Gate in 1999 by mere chance, on a PC GAMES companion CD of game demos. I saw that it was about Dungeons and Dragons, and as I'd been playing D&D since the '80s, I was intrigued. I had no idea when I loaded that simple demo onto my home computer that I'd be embarking on a journey that would last me nearly thirty years. Baldur's Gate 3 isn't only an awesome game, it's a worthy installment in one of the greatest video game IPs of all time.
