For a game made in 2008 it holds up remarkably well. I haven't seen a game use colours like this before and the 'runner vision' where objects highlight red is an awesome touch. But PLEASE PLEASE download the Mirror's edge tweaks mod to uncap the framerate, adjust the FOV and fix the blurry UI. Really good experience otherwise w/ fun gameplay.
Very unique and fun fast-paced shooter. Up there with Dusk and Severed Steel for my favourite Indie FPS game. Can get frustrating at times as if you die you have to restart from the first floor but it also adds some tension that the aforementioned games lack. Ultimately, definitely worth the price, you can tell the devs put a lot of love and care into this game.
The only other indie FPS games that come close are Dusk and mullet madjack. This game also beats out Turbo overkill, Cultic and Angerfoot. Worth it at full price and a no brainer on sale if you're into FPS games.
This is a beautful game with fun shooting/driving mechanics and n interesting l plot. If you're into gta style games this is a no brainer. I would give it 5 stars but there are some issues that still haven't been addressed since launch. Now the pc version is the best version since it's the only way to play this game in 4k 60fps, but there are issues with launching the game in the first place. When you hit play you may find yourself looking at a black screen that styas there indefinetely. I found out you need to disable full screen optimisations and run the game as addmin to start it properly. Then, if you turn on fullscreen, it will crash... so you need to disable v-sync before turning on fullscreen then re-enable v-sync to prevent it crashing. Other than that it's a great time, there is also a way to disable the ugly film grain effect by editing some files (there are plenty of guides online). I recommend playing playing on classic difficulty for the most immersive experience, plays best on a TV using a controller!
Good writing and voice acting. Charming art style. Clever puzzles. You may need a guide if this is your first playthrough though!
Better the Old blood and New Colossus and one my favourite FPS game of all time. A must play
This game will always be in the shadow of Bioshock 1 and Infintie (unfairly). But it most certainly stands on its two feet. It actually has a lot of QOL improvementss compared to Bioshock 1 and adds its own mechanics. In my playthrough I have only experienecd one crash (although your experience may be different depedning on your config). Worth a playthorugh.
Not a very long game, but makes the most of its time and is very replayable. Only downside is the 60fps cap. Otherwise great game
Best Western game behind RDR1 and better than RDR2. Buy it, play it.
Amazing, especially amazing considering it was made by just two people from my home city of Adelaide. Worth a play if you're looking for a metroidvania. If you're not someone who enjoys backtracking (I don't mind it) then this might not be for you.
