I wishlisted this game long ago and was waiting for the price to fall since then. But it's ridiculously overpriced! 8$ full price and 5$ on sale? Are you kidding me? I can get some new and fresh indie title. Or 5 great classic games on sale for this price (and most of them would be gems and way better than this relic). Nostalgia is good, but with this attitude - keep this game to yourself.
Why it is SO expensive? SWAT 4 is way better and it costs 3 times less. I really respect this game and want it in my collection, having it in my wishlist for years, but it never got a discount. I don't know the reason why this is happening. So frustrating ...
2023 - I'm playing this game for the first time. And you know it hasn't aged for a moment! Beautiful handcrafted pixel art, gorgeous animations, smooth controls and intuitive UI. Smart dialogues, beautiful voiceover and the list goes on and on. I'm under impression. This is totally a classic gem!
It's really replayable and highly addictive card battler with immersive elements. Many other reviewers say something like "play just act 1" and "avoid playing other acts". I totally disagree! The game is great in all its aspects and it just have more than you'd expect from this kind of game. And as you will know, much and MUCH more than you'd expect after you beat it once. But no spoilers! Go ahead, and go in blind. It's a real gem!
The game is gorgeous! That's all I can say. If you want to fly away from your everyday life to a peaceful island - here is your chance.
The game is really good! Give it a try. It has punchy sounds and animations, funny art-style, deep lore and gorgeos art-style. It starts very simple, but after 3-4 hours you find yourself in really harsh battles, where you have to use your brain and plan every move. It is a successor to the FFT, but prettier and even smarter in some ways.
It's the same old M&B, but better, bigger, prettier more complex. Still at the beginning of the game, but already got some chills down my spine. This is the anticipation of the future great game!
