Well starting a new game I always ask myself: why should I play it. Well perhaps because I bought it, but that's not enough. Why should I waste time playing a game? For some games it's easy for this one ... well. It starts with some words about the world - the world we know and what lies behind. A good start for the first five minutes. But still I don't get why I am there and why the building is empty except for the janitor. And why shall I go on? Why do I fire on the enemies and why do I care about the gun? Well the enemies shoot at me, fine. Okay, I shoot back. The world itself is ... empty. There is not much to touch and the story isn't going fast catching me. Comparing it to games like Remember me or Bioshock where you find a dense atomosphere this is ... okay, it's not lame but it's spare. The graphics are okay. The animation of your character is poor. I could play it, but I still don't get why. So I might drop this.
Egal was ich tue, das Spiel will nicht starten. Ich habe einen Rechner mit Intel / Nvidia Geforce. Problembeschreibungen gibt es nur für AMD Grafikkarten. Also: Vorsicht! Das Spiel kann so nicht gespielt werden.
Well the idea is really good and a lot of fun. Yes, I like this game very much. From time to time, it's very hard to fullfill all needs especially when you start to play. So it could have been five stars but - for the price of the game - it's far to short. There are just 4 stories to play - a fifth with the season pass but even the season pass is to expansive for what you get. I think there should be some free addons or a modding tool so there could be a customer content workshop.
To be honest, I've been fallen for the other reviews. The style is interesting, I can't deny that. And at first I liked it. But soon I regret I bought this game and started to play it. The game is so linear and predictable. You never have choices there is always only one option. Okay you can test some dialog options ... but only 1 of four choices is the correct one and you always can go through all until it goes on. So in this case it's more like a movie but the story is not interesting enough to follow it. For an adventure it's dull. If you like to solve puzzles or follow an interesting story, it's nothing for you. If you like to click through several options and if you are into retro graphics you might like it.
Well, yes it's a great Point'n'Click Adventure. The graphics are nice retro style. The characters are very good. Lot's of different reasons why to work finally together. And the humor is very funny. Don't let yourself be confused about the different graphic Style at the ending. The production didn't went out of money, if you listen the story you will know, what's the reason for that (they are the same places in a different style).
Yes it is. But it's not just the graphics - it's the awful controlling. I start to play it and I didn't like it. The complete Inventory, the movement, the combat. It's a lot of clicking. The dialogues are ... well, okay. I can't tell much about the story, cause I didn't tried long enough. Taking a look to Fallout 1 or 2, they are much better and a lot of more fun. So this game isn't worth the price.
Taking a deeper (hihi) look on the Game: Larry is back! Well it's not Al Lowe Larry, but it's a new one and it's getting closer to the original series. There have been many changes to the graphics during the games. Some say it looks like flash, but that's not fully true. Yes, it's unique in the series but same for part 7. It is more Comic-Style but after letting it go, I really liked it. Yes, I didn't expect this kind of graphic style, but it was made good after all. The speakers are really good and the sound at all is great. I had expected more girls in the game, it was quit a bit short, but the girls were made nice and unique. The puzzles were okay. Some could have been a bit crazier. I liked the vision part close to the end. The sense of humor was very good at some parts but it was too little in others. Over all it made me smile, but, well, there could have been more self-ironic gags inside like in the other parts. There was no narrator, but that was best part in 7. So now we good the Pi-Phone instead of and it done well in some parts, but the Pi-Phone could have been more involved in others. It commented some actions, but there were many gags not told. The size of the game was okay, but I love to see some more places - but, and that's the biggest critic - less travel in between again and again. So after all it's a good revival of the series, but I would love to see more ironic comments in future parts and some more girls, too. It's a funny adventure coming close to the earlier ones and it's beating the "Reloaded" and of cause Magna Cum Laude and Box Office. I even liked it more than part 5, but there is still a big difference to the best adventures of this series, like part 7 or 3.
Well, what shall I say? There is a bug from preventing you to start playing. After choosing the character, the loading is broken and you come back to the same menu ever and ever again. It's not worth even a single Dollar or Euro!
