Din's Legacy

Legacy is a good thing

I pretty much play all of Soldak games, for one reason or another. The common DNA between them makes me feel at home. First and foremost, are good and fun to play games. Despite having a lot of games to choose from, I usually end up on one of Soldak games, down the rabbit hole...... I still think Depths of Peril is the better game of the bunch, I played (and play) a lot od Din's Curse, but this one might take it's place.

4th & Inches

Classic game from 8 bit era

This game is present in every 8/16 bit system for a reason. It's very playable, arcade - like and fun. I can understand that european players (like I am) might not get it,since the game does not explain the game rules in no way, but it's simple enoguh to grasp. Keep in mind that manuals also exist for a reason. I will buy this eventually in GOG to support them, but at the moment I play this game on C64 and amiga 500, where the game is top notch- Amiga also has the construction kit if you're into that. DOS version it's pretty much the same as Amiga version. Keep in mind both Amiga and C64 have better sound than this version.

Zombasite

Blends all Soldak good in 1 game

This game is a blend of all game mechanics present on previous soldak games. This is a good thing. Action RPG with random loot and evolving world, also diplomacy and several wining possibilities. They added also crafting mechanics. In conclusion a really nice ARPG with tons of different game mechanics and almos infinite replay value.

Drox Operative

Another take on Action RPGs

Soldak is really good on random/evolving worlds with action RPG and loot. This take on their well known game mechanics in space keeps all the good stuff from other soldak games. It blends game mechanics from Din 's Curse and Depths of Peril. I am not a fan of how the game controls on this space world, but the game has enough going on to be fun and addictive. Also, price point is ok.

Depths of Peril

Solid action RPG with an evolving world

As with all Soldak games, this one is well worth the price. Fun to play , good game mechanics , a bunch of stuff to do and really extensive set of parameters to affect the world and gameplay. Really high replay value. I bought this game for the 3rd time, now in GOG. Soldak well deserves the suppor.t
