Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga

Still One of the Best Ever

One thing makes this game stand out from it's masterpiece of a sequel: the exploration of the countryside. The exploration of the land made this game huge, to go along with the game's fantastic writing and character development and storytelling.

Fallout Classic

Nearly Perfect

The setting, the story, the factions: this game is perfection. If you like CRPGs and post-apocalyptic settings, you must play this game.

Baldur's Gate 2 Complete

Perfection

At the time of its release, this was perhaps the best CRPG ever. It still ranks really high, thanks to the unbelievably good writing. A standard in the annals of fantasy RPG storytelling.

Fallout 2 Classic

As Good as They Get

One of my favorite isometric RPGs of all time. The action point system worked very well, and the story telling is first rate. Truly made me feel like I was walking through post-apocalyptic America. A great sequel to another great game.

Hitman: Codename 47

Playable, but not polished

I never understood the allure of this game. I found it rather clunky, and I was not drawn into the story/motivations for the character. Not my cup of tea, even though I generally like this kind of game.

Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone

A good action game - not an RPG!

Demon Stone is a very fun game, with the great DnD background as a setting, but it's not a role playing game, per se. It's really a hack n' slash game with some minor leveling customization. The game plays very much like LOTR: Return of the King, without the great backstory to lend it credibility.

Psychonauts

Psycho-Fun!

This game is so fun. I've played through it twice, and enjoyed it immensely. This is one of my favorite console ports ever, probably because the original game is one of my favorites ever.
