One thing makes this game stand out from it's masterpiece of a sequel: the exploration of the countryside. The exploration of the land made this game huge, to go along with the game's fantastic writing and character development and storytelling.
Demon Stone is a very fun game, with the great DnD background as a setting, but it's not a role playing game, per se. It's really a hack n' slash game with some minor leveling customization. The game plays very much like LOTR: Return of the King, without the great backstory to lend it credibility.
