This was a really great game with good visuals, animations, creative levels and enemies and great use of lighting and shadows. While there is no text or dialogue, there's plenty of story and unfortunately a lot of people seem to have missed. This is very much related to Little Nightmares 1 and its character, and by the end of the game some things may not seem to make sense, but they're actually very well thought out and with a little digging it all makes sense. The story was way more interesting and complex than I initially thought, but even without that, the gameplay itself was very satisfying, and the puzzles and challenges are simple enough that I didn't have to repeat the same area very many times or die in the same way often.
Upon first seeing this after Limbo, the art style seemed a little simplistic. I played Little Nightmares II which I really enjoyed, and I kept thinking how interesting the world was and how smooth the animations were...Until I finally played Inside and remembered why these guys practically invented this type of game. Everything is amazingly crafted, your eyes are always lead to the important parts of the scene, the animations are fluid and beautiful, the world is amazing and the story, told through the actions you see and take, not text or audio, is really interesting. Play this one until the end, as it builds up like a great horror movie and it gets pretty mind-blowing.
