It’s good! You can use dumb magic to make food and fly, and there's a bunch of rats, and you can talk to orcs and trolls (I wish I could pet the Cacodemons in Doom). This game is the actual origin of stuff like Doom and RPG sandboxy open-world immersive sim things like Deus Ex and New Vargas and those other nerd games. You can pick up rocks with your hand and throw into doors to bypass boring puzzles. I love the pixel art. The characters are colorful and cute. I want to pet the rats. The story is dumb, but funny and charming. The game is old game janky though… I can never walk straight enough to make the many platforming jumps without save scumming. And I got scary “object list error” all of the time, that people said could delete important game items and softlock my game. And the progression is very slow and obtuse, I had to use the clue-book many times to know what to do next. I had to use a handwritten notebook to keep my notes of the game, with is a sign of games that are great. Also, I got lost a lot, which is also a sign of games that are great! So... this game is recommended to people that are nerds and like games that are weird and make you do unreasonable things, like reading, paying attention, remembering things, making notes, exploring, and, sometimes, reading guides and searching maps.
