River City Girls

fun game...

even with team damage off, can still take out your teammate with trash cans.

Dungeons of Dreadrock

short and fun

not a bad puzzle game. its short, maybe 4-5 hrs. simple mechanics for either controller or keyboard. It kept me entertained for a weekend, which was exactly why I purchased it.

Hot Brass

Anger management issues

This is a great game. Friendly fire makes it challenging and a great stress reliever. I think my son and I managed to finish a level in 1 of 20 tries after spending the afternoon shooting each over from across the map.

Beautiful Mystic Survivors

Delivers on every promise

First off, this review is for the early access, non +18 version. Pros: - Graphics are beautiful - Even on extreme, with max settings, the game runs smooth on a gaming desktop - Plenty of weapons, lots of upgrades, each level has a good spread of enemy types - Difficulty levels are balanced - Character stats, abilities and play style are different enough to be worth swapping between levels on higher difficulties - Weapon choices matter on higher difficulty, as does character Cons: - Boss drop chests must be manually opened, can be difficult later in the level to reach - Hard to see drops later in levels - No help, description or explinations other than weapons For an early access, the devs did a great job on graphics and balancing. I played all difficulties and levels, and each one was enjoyable. For hard and extreme, your choices really matter and the wrong weapon combo or poor character choice will be the difference between survival or an early death. Easier difficulties are a good intro to the game's weapons and enemy mechanics. On hard and extreme, the game will punish you for standing still, then for moving and standing still past 15 min. Have the finesse to squeeze past a pincer move by mere pixels is both satisfying and challenging. The graphic effects are beautiful, though it can make it very difficult to see drops and chests later on in the levels once weapons are evolved. You can zoom in on the action however you'll want to keep it zoomed out at all times, you've been warned. To sum this game up, it's bullet hell survival where sometimes you're the one in hell and others you're the one giving it.

The Longest Road on Earth Demo

Exactly what it says, great music though

I played the game before reviewing the description in the store. So, to be honest I was completely lost and confused. There's only 3 buttons (left, right & A) in the game and walking is painfully slow. Music is 5 star, easy. Gameplay 1-2 star due to lack of direction, or hints on what to do next. Thankfully, interactive areas are highlighted with a square above the character but only when you walk next to them, so frustrating. Graphics, easy 4 star considering the detail and care put into it. Yes, it is grayscale pixel art, but with attention to detail, quality reflections and a great scene rotation in chapter 3 that kept me from quiting early. In summary, its an artsy visual novel that seems forced to include player control. I would have preferred just sitting back and watching it instead. That alone would have earned it 4-5 stars.

Spiritfarer Demo

Will it be worth the wait?

So far, yes. The artwork is beautiful. The music, characters and dialog is light-hearted and fun. The idle animations are fun to watch and you can swim, which was a nice touch when getting to the end of the area. There are still a few minor bugs but overall worth waiting for he final release. I had issues picking the vegetables, with the left plot requiring 5x the amount of button pussing than the rest. Had to revert back to the keyboard to get the timing right. The menu responsiveness was a bit sluggish and the delay between buying items was too long. There's no option to buy more than 1 at a time. I also ran into issues with the button assignments as the game correctly detected a plugged in controller but didn't tell me so I defaulted to keyboard at first. As for system requirements, the loading time was longer than normal on a dual core i3 with 6 GB ram,, but game play was smooth and responsive even with other apps running in the background.

Nice Simple Dungeon Game

Brings back memories of old school dungeon crawlers. Music is good, controls are simple and easily changed. Had fun beating it over the weekend as a Hunter. Would have given it 5 starts however on the last level, game kept freezing until I realized the speech windows weren't appearing but the selection to continue text was still in effect. Had to blindly choose options until I stumbled on the exit one. Had that issue during the entire end game. Couldn't even find out the big climax of the story :(
