good plot, interesting mechanics overall.. I recommend this game to any rpg goers, a good game to chill and delve in
Finally a game where the protagonist does not have pyschological issue, or beat down protagonist by the entire galaxy thumbdown and hammer him/his kind or the protagonist is filthy dirty mindset to begin with. Yes, some will say it's a bad story. Frankly, nobody acts that way, it is unreal but also a relief at the same time and pushes away from our reality of concerns and daily anxiety through HUMOR which is the paradox to our reality and what makes this game real fun to go through! With no honor, I follow the story in Easy mode and so far I LOVE IT. The protagnist has a goal and cheerfully goes for it with the help of his sidekick, so far a lovely story. Please make GEMINI 4 and dont lose your sense of humor
game will scale to 4k no issues but major issue is the UI will NOT scale. There is no remedy as it seems hard coded that way. Hopefully the game launcher comes straight with game resolution so it did not take any time to lower the game resolution down to 1920 x 1080. Not as pretty as 4k but I was expecting a lot worse considering roughly 4 times downscaled, the game still look amazing for its age! Tutorial in game is rather hard to get right away so stay receptive to anything happening on screen. Tutorial is really short and I suspect it does not cover all functions in ship(s) and in game. The game comes with manual so we are not totally lost. The game seems vast and expansive, yet sectors (where you evolve in a map with stuffs to do) is of decent size considering your ship speed. I went on a free wheel right after the tutorial and on my way to a gate to start trading, NPCs out of the blue started to become red and attack me so I attacked anything red bracket, yet it seems some red are not intended to be destroyed depending not to you but rather to your prestige or good standing with third party alliance. Eg: dont kill transport but kill "pirate" ships, or the game will eventually take the big gun out like it did to me by pulling a sort of corvette I assume "centaur... something". It was nonetheless a fun experience, I got into left and right click functions with ease which is essential to fly and fire. I will try again.... after I open the manual :)
This is an Early Access, I only have a dozen hours under my belt. Characters in this universe are well threaded, some are quite obvious good/evil, others more subtle. environment is better than DOS2, not so washed on my screen difficult to see. Not super great yet but better than DOS2, it shows which means the developers are progressing with experience. Those like me who love D&D but never really had the chance for any reason to actually play table top will enjoy this game upon final release. It offers a lot from D&D universe with good character growth where some choices dont have consequences and others are critical for the path you choose. It is regrettable that BG3 turn the page away from BG2 universe and timeframe where so far beside several magic cast, races and Baldur being cited in game has little to no connections to previous games but it does not mean we cannot see more religious stand points, factions, and tales of great previous games characters introduced in this game. This Early Release is simply your introduction to the game where without spoiling anything I can only say something keeps you going for survival. The Early Release is stable on Intel I9 9880h and RTX 2080, the game is full of quirks, especially in narrow passageways and animations ar clunky and missing lots of.... animation but it is playable
I wanted to relieve my youth of late teenager with a twist of 3rd sequel, I was somewhat disappointed before the game began by understanding after looking in all options and folders in game on GoG directory that itg is ONLY OFFLINE mode on a Triumph wall access. there is nothing said anywhere and I wasted so much time like reading through all that copyright bullshit in notepad. So yeah people buy it only if you understand it is OFFLINE and therefore NO NEED TO CREATE TRIUMPH BS ACCOUNT
Truth be told, I don't know anything about the board game. This out of the way, This game Pathfinder has everything to sooth a player needs for its genre but 2 points, 1 of which is a huge caveat. 1) There are way too few character portraits. I don't care if the budget was included for it or not. Character creation is a big requirement for this type of games and that was an extremely cheap move that smells "wait, maybe there could be more portrait for a coming DLC"? 2) The biggest problem of all is the shear number of patching. RPG games and closely surrounding game genres. The game is definitely WORTH BUYING but this is NO game gold release, this is at best a BETA HOT FIX stage; therefore buy it and leave it for a month or 2, if not, don't buy it and wait for a month or 2 while "they fix bugs" and perhaps you will remember the game exists.
