I think this is underrated, I had fun with it. I like the general idea, the style and music and especially how the story is told by these small funny comic strips. The game has kind of a roguelite approach. When you die you start from scratch except for your upgrades and the safe contents. And in the beginning you will probably die mulitple times, but that gets better eventually. In the late game some things get a bit too easy. That's the time to complete all the upgrades and have fun with trying everything you couldn't do before. Replayability is not a big thing, you have seen everything after one playthrough. Maybe in a few months/years I will play it again cause I like the gameplay loop. I hardly recommend playing with controller, keyboard really isn't fun.
It's a great game as many have stated before and i like it very much! Unfortunately the devs/publisher prefer steam over gog. Steam gets updates first, other platforms like gog and also consoles btw get them much later. Regarding the coop update this is also stated in the roadmap. So buy it on gog if you want to support DRM-free games and have patience, otherwise on steam. The many negative rewievs don't represent the actual game rating.
