Having played through the demo (about 30 mins or so of gameplay) this is now my most eagerly anticipated game. It tries to do something new, something I've always wanted from a videogame (ie, to play the alien monster) and it does it WELL. VERY WELL. The demo is nearly perfect (I didn't like that I couldn't switch back from my strong attack to my weaker attack that had more range, but hell, maybe I could and I just missed the instruction; I also felt that what limited writing I saw could have been more interesting, a la Oddworld, which had similar scrolling text). Gameplay is kind of like what I wanted Mushroom 11 to be, like taking Mushroom 11 and crossing it with Spiderman and Prototype, while keeping Mushroom 11's aesthetic and adding a bit of Zombie Night Panic's gore. As I hid from armed guards while chewing on some corpses beneath a grate under their feet, my eyestalks poking upward as I waited for them to pass, I felt what it was to be the xenomorph, the Predator, an experience that very few games manage to capture (and decidely not any of the more recent games in the Aliens or Predator franchises, to be sure). Personally, I'd drop 20 on it regardless of length. For someone less enthusiastic about being the antagonist in an extraterrestrial murder simulator, maybe a little less (again, depending on content, but assuming a decent 6 hr length). Thank you, devs. Made my morning.
