This game is two in one, meaning it has the original Alpha Centauri with the separate expansion game Alien Crossfire. There is no way through the GoG launcher to launch the expansion, but we can launch the executable from the installation folder. The real problem is that Alien Crossfire is fundementally broken, as the most players can do is launch the game and watch as it breaks immediately upon loading the world map, even before the first city is created. I doubt anything will come from this, as it appears to be a porting error, meaning it is a weird and unexpected bug with how newer computers handle something in the expansion's code.
