As always larian knows how to make engaging combat and worlds. The sheer size of the game and the amount of options are really stunning. But I wonder about the priorities Why is it necessery to put so much wokery in the character creator that it makes the user interface for most people simply bad and confusing Why can't I choose to be a man? Or a woman? And then get options that fits that choice? Why must I choose between body type 1-.4.. where half of the options are eunichs? Like who are you even trying to cater to? Why are the voice options named voice 1, voice 2, etc and they are not sorted by the sex I chose to play as? Why do you have to make everyone that play your game as confused as the people you cater to? Why is there a freckle quantity option of all things, but 0 still has freckles? Why did you move the character editor to it's own tab, but don't represent it as a tab in the ui? Why do you have a maturity bar and all it does is add some smile lines? Honestly the character creator is a cluttered mess that seem to have had more focus on checking boxes than making the user interface navigable.
You can start this quest too early. That's probably the biggest problem When you get the quest you are a poor blacksmiths son, and you are given the task of not only rebuilding a town, but financing it too??? In the beginning it costs a lot of money just to pay the workers, every single day. And if you don't you can end up failing the quest, which leads to the dlc just disappearing. If you go to do something else to progress the story or earn money to pay your workers, you can end up failing the quest just because you get hold up in some kind of story event
