S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly

Gute Sandbox-Mod

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition

Is quite okay

I personally had some AI failures during my playthrough and also monsters and NPCs that ran in the air, these bugs have increased somewhat in my opinion compared to the original, but it's not a catastrophe either. No changes to the AI or the levels have been made, the content remains exactly the same and that's just as intentional. From my point of view, it doesn't feel like GSC have fixed any bugs from the original parts at all, even if they claim to have, so this question remains open. For me, the stalker series remains a legend and the bugs are somehow part of it. The biggest problem at the moment is unfortunately the image blur, the engine renders the ingame resolution fundamentally lower than what is actually set and FSR exacerbates this problem, the recommendation here is to deactivate the internal antialiasing (FXAA / MLAA) and switch on FSR and set it to “native” mode, also set the sharpness filter to maximum, a lower FSR mode should be avoided at all costs, just like deactivating FSR, the picture can be improved, but the problem remains and this must definitely be fixed by the developer, as it is a major technical issue. I don't care about the changes in the game that are political in nature because they don't affect me negatively, the gameplay and atmosphere are exactly the same and that's the most important thing for me, but i can understand if you criticize that, nevertheless GSC has its reasons for these steps. Good Hunting, Stalker!

Is okay, but nothing more

I think the performance, especially in the city of Lymansk, is much better than it was back then, also more stable in general but i had a single crash in the “agroprom” area. In my opinion there were slightly fewer bugs than in the original (Lymansk only), so either they've made improvements, or I was lucky, or I just have a bad memory. A buddy of mine said, however, that many smaller side quests are still completely buggy. Unfortunately i myself had a bug at the end (fight at the CNPP), strelok actually runs away from you on the bridges, but he was stuck on the ground under the bridges, which completely destroyed the staging and immersion, but i was still able to finish the game without any problems or probably just had to reload it. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

German Version not good

I just really like CoP because of some new mechanics and completely new areas in contrast to the predecessors, but with a heavy heart I have to rate this negatively. There are minor (some quests) to very massive bugs, the latter currently ensure that in the German version (so if you play in German) the intro and outro are broken, sentences are cut off here and not completely read out by the speaker, that's just bad and together with the points that are about to come, the german version of the enhanced is definitely much worse realized than the original. The really big problem are 2 bugs, which don't let you go to pripyat at the end of the underpass at the ladder, because the game always crashes there, also there is a bug in one of the last missions that the commander kovalsky doesn't want to react after a certain dialog, these are plot stoppers and don't let the player continue the game, the solution for both cases is to switch the game to english in the menu here (after that you can set it back to german), so i have the feeling that nobody has ever played through the german version at GSC, because the bugs are reproducible, very clear and serious. The game can also crash when you go up ladders or look into the sky (i could only partially reproduce it). My tip here would be to try a fps limiter (e.g. 60 or 120).

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky - Enhanced Edition

For me this is a 10

For me this is a 10 / 10, the problem with the image sharpness can be improved a bit with FSR native (deactivate AA) and the sharpness slider to 100%, but i hope the developers optimize a bit more, if possible. You can also try to update FSR manually (to the current 3.1.4) by simply swapping the files, but there are no significant improvements and no guarantee that it will work perfectly.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Prypiat - Enhanced Edition

For me a 10

For me a 10 / 10, at the moment, everyone (at least on steam) is complaining about the image blur and rating it negatively for this reason, among others, and yes, that's true, but you can counteract this well if you deactivate the internal AA (MLAA / FXAA), use FSR 3 in native mode instead and then screw the FSR sharpness to 100%, which is an unusually high value (compared to other games with FSR), but the image is okay with it, even if not perfect. However, the implementation of the image quality is indeed in need of improvement. This text applies to all 3 games, so i hope it's okay if i use it for all of them. Perhaps the many negative reviews will also have a positive effect, namely that the developers will make improvements, if possible.
