Fallout represents what most games today simply can't accomplish. Style, atmosphere, complexity, humor. The first time you notice these things is when you open The Vault Dweller's Guide (that would be the manual), which is written in a roleplaying manner, even with paper notes attached. For the new gamer Fallout would seem narrowed and stupid because of the old interface and gameplay, but once you get into it you'll never be able to go back. :) Don't hesitate to buy this game.
