This game brings me back to 1991 and titles played on a classic Mac with a single button mouse and no HDD. Obviously the graphics and controls are much better, but the sensations are the mostly the same. The mix of horror and adventure is good--you certainly feel vulnerable to physical and mental attacks, and the pacing seems about right. That is, skills and inventory improve at a reasonable rate for RPG elements, and having multiple ways to solve most "problems" helps too. Overall, I enjoyed this early release wholeheartedly, with only some minor annoyances. Said annoyances may count as spoilers, so I am loathe to mention them here. However, having run out of storage space for in-game inventory, a "sale" option or maybe a "breakdown" into components crafting option would be appreciated.
