Turok

Did not age well at all

This game feels empty even for it being a 1996 release on the N64 and a 1997 release on PC. The frustrating platforming, limited saves, and having to search all over the levels over and over again for keys kills the fun here. The keys are literally hidden to make you play for 12 hours even with a walkthrough before you get the keys for a level, and there is hardly any backstory to the game; heck, even its sequel did a far better job with that then this. Honestly, I'd rather play Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, or Quake II if it were 1997, and I find out about this game's existence. Honestly, I'd recommend skipping this one and playing the second one if you really must play a Turok game, or play Doom, Duke 3D, or the Quake games if you want a nostalgic first person shooter without the sheer frustrations you have to deal with in the Turok games. My two cents.

Wing Commander™ 1+2

One of the Greatest Games Ever!

NOTE: (I am playing the first one right now, because I want to play these in order, but here is the review for the first game alone! I bet the second one will be just as great if not better!) For 1990, this is incredible! I wasn't even born yet!! I already completed my first major mission, and it seems so realistic for its time. I am being praised by one of the upper hands in the game, with amazing animation with the lip syncing, and even the animation of actions, including running, and especially clapping are so well done. This feels rather lively! The controls are extremely responsive, and enemies are made easier to take out with the lock-on system. The detail on the ships are super realistic for the time; it has the digitized sprites that don't look cartoony. I recommend this to any gamer who wants to get their hands on a piece of gaming history!

Blood: One Unit Whole Blood

Greatest Shooter I Have Played

This game is certainly one of a kind with humorous one-liners that will never bore the player, and large, entertaining levels that will keep you coming back with extreme violence and blood unmatched by any of today's FPS games. How many FPS games can you say that you can blast heads off enemies, and continue to be able to kick it until it explodes? Not too many! Not even Postal 2 can match that level of violence, though it comes close; you can explode heads, but the gore effect of kicking the heads isn't as gruesome as Blood, and to make this even better, it has a deep, dark soundtrack that very few games are able to replicate! This is the perfect game to play after a bad day, as its one of the most violent, gore-intense games in existence!

POSTAL 2

Meh

This game was actually fun for a while, as there were virtually no limits for what you can do around town, but when it boils down to it, the violence itself isn't enough to keep some players like myself entertained. A more complex story would have been great, but considering that this game was primarily designed on the basis of the no boundaries, do as you please philosophy, I can forgive that. I guess this game isn't for me, but I'm pretty sure this would work for some people who prefer only over-the-top violence with a hint of story, otherwise I'd play something else.

Blood 2: The Blood Group

Do Not Buy This Bug-filled Disaster!!

After reading all the reviews, I thought to myself "Well, Blood was an awesome game, what's wrong with this one?", and I assure you, there is plenty wrong with this game! The humor is not appealing at all, and the game crashes or glitches extremely frequently, to the point where you give up, and forget about this game's existence. I tried really hard to like this game, but could not bring myself to. While I may actually like some of the level designs and great weapons with the extreme gore from the original game, I cannot excuse the constant crashing, and control lockups upon exiting the menu. When I exit the menu half the time, the character freezes up completely to the point where no amount of smashing the keyboard buttons brings it back to control the character. I just wanted to vent out frustration from a rough day, and the day has been made rougher with this poor excuse for a game. Not even Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall crashes that often, and it crashes quite a bit. I even tried using the batch file from the community forums, only to find it still crashing, even though it is not as often. There are so many games that are worth your six dollars, and this is NOT one of them. Get the original Blood, Rise of The Triad or Painkiller instead, and avoid this disaster at all costs!
