This is the game people rave about? The story never feels like it escalates and the amount of pointless driving back and forth for no reason leaves to this game being so tedious. Headshots dotn work sometimes, but maybe that because its on hard and all the vehicles feels like ass. Chapter 11 glitched to where Joe wouldnt get out of my car so I get to replay that lovely timed section in which, thanks to my bad luck, cops are spawned all around where I need to get to in little to know time, and the pointless sister bit. Its gunplay is stail, its story is average, and its challenge is tedium. There is also no point in the open world and what little I spent was on car repairs since there was no point in using it elsewhere. Mafia 3 had a neat story and better open world while Mafia 1 remastered or not, was simple with a nice story and didnt waste your time with filler driving. Frustrating and tedious is how i would describe it.
I cannot find how to bring up the start up settings and now the game is super zoomed in and is stretched due to my wide resolution. I wish I could fix it but I cant even get to the settings to do so.
Real treat to play. Had a pirated version on my pc, but got a hard copy for ps2 so I didnt feel like a criminal. Now that its on GOG again I had to get it again. Can't wait for the remake. Now if only we could get No One Lives Forever and Timesplitters on here I'd be a happy camper.
Great game and id love to play it, but i cant. I bought this version rather than the cheaper steam version because i heard GOG fixed the majority of its issues and so I thought i wouldnt have to worry about it. Turns out it freezes just as frequently as the steam version.
