Severance: Blade of Darkness

It is a Hell of a Game!

Released in 2001 for PC, with keyboard + mouse in mind (Controller support was added later). Delivers a complex combat system, from which other games should have learned a lot. The atmosphere is outstanding, and the story keeps you engaged. (Good music and voice acting). Secrets, labyrinths, traps, fog, blood... nothing is missing here. You can play with four characters (Very different play-style from each other). Wide variety of combos and weapons. You can decapitate your opponents and throw their heads :) Absolutely loved it backed in the day, and it aged very well.

The Red Strings Club

Donnie! I'm thirsty today!

I enjoyed pretty much what I would call short visual novel dressed with minigames. The beautifully drawn pixel art, good animations, absorbing atmosphere mainly due to the music that is outstanding. Great effort has been put into this game. Short but well balanced, I wouldn't ask for more nor less. To my taste, some conversations result a bit tedious, lacks some humor, yet very interesting piece of art. Well spent money and time. Thanks!
