NGG, whilst old and graphically not appealing to modern-day eyes, has the deepest setting into realism and politics of the days back then. Combined with the manual which GOG is sadly missing one can immerse deep into the problems Lincoln and Davis faced in the Civil War. Several reasons for decisionmaking in one or another direction can only be grasped fully if one knows the mechanics behind the game which the manual describes. Nevertheless, a great addition by GOG to the portfolio!
