DOOM (2016)

DOOM IS HERE

It's DOOM—a fast-paced FPS. It closely resembles the first game in the franchise from way back in 1993 (I think). The controls are fluid, the music is great, and so far, I haven't found any bugs in the game (and I'm a highly skilled software engineer specializing in testing). It runs surprisingly well on my old computer, equipped with Windows 10, a generic SSD, an i5-3570 processor, a GT 1030 GPU, and 16 GB of RAM. That said, my analysis may be biased since I've been playing DOOM for over 30 years, so...I absolutely love it. Most importantly, I love you guys at GOG. You're always bringing us those lovely games (SimCity, Brothers in Arms, TES I, II, III, IV, V, DOOM, Medal of Honor...), which is why I have hundreds of games from GOG. I hope one day you'll add the first three Age of Empires games—they would be a perfect fit for my GOG collection.

SAMURAI SHODOWN II

Great game, Great fun

I worked in an arcade that had Samurai Shodown 2 and I lost a lot of coins playing Samurai in the past :-) So I can say that this game is very accurate when compared to the original in the arcade. It runs very well on my computer (Windows 8.1 and Pentium G3250). In this game the controls are not customizable, but to adjust the controls I use the 'antimicro' (free, from github). The game Samurai Shodown 2 is a fight between 2 players, each player has a specific weapon, with specific powers. The scene is Japanese (17th or 18th century), some songs have Japanese instruments in them. Like the arcade, the game has difficulty levels from 1 (quite easy) to 8 (quite difficult). As soon as I bought the game on Gog, I called a cousin and we played for about 4 hours on a Sunday afternoon and I can guarantee: the same fun as the arcade (in 1995). For me, this game deserves 5 stars. Thanks to the people at Gog and the people at Dot Emu I was able to play Samurai Shodown 2 legally again.
