Star Wars™: Rebel Assault 1 + 2

Difficulty sways to the extremes

As a preface. I do not own this game through GOG, and through Steam instead. I came to GOG hoping to see if their version had controller compatibility because trying to play some levels becomes nearly impossible without a joystick, specifically the millenium falcon escape sequence in chapter 3 of Rebel Assault 2. If at any point you lose the center position for your mouse, you'll just start ramming into the wall over and over until you find center again, at which point you are likely dead. True, you can just skip the level by looking up all the level passwords online, but it's not the same. Plus, chapter 3 isn't the only offender. On the other hand, the first level is super easy. Granted it's a first level so I can let it slide. The second level is just perfect in my opinion. It takes some time to learn patterns and patience, but it becomes worthwhile in the end. I remember playing this game as a very young kid and never getting far, maybe it was just because i was bad or maybe the game is more unfair than I thought. I even had a full blown joystick that we used too. Man do i wish that thing still worked.
