Cyberpunk 2077

Rushed mess and lost potential

The game has interesting characters, story and quests, but this is not enough to compensate for the points below: - Bad optimization. Huge FPS drops in cutscenes and some areas even on high-end PC with DLSS enabled. I pity last-gen console players because they were literally lied to and robbed. - Abysmal crowd and traffic AI I never experienced AI so bad in my life and I played a lot of open-world games in a city (watch dogs, saints rows, mafia, gta etc.). Remember that $7mln Polish Government grant to research "live" cities? - Enemy AI is bad. Enemies are dumb, predictable and can't advance on player. This is unacceptable for a game that focuses on shooting, be it FPS or RPG. - Not much to interact with in a city. - Missing textures, signs that show placeholder texts. - Plethora of glitches and bugs that ruin the experience. (Should I even mention that?) - Menu is clunky and hard to get used to. - Old-fashioned RPG mechanics. Pink t-shirt has more armor than blue t-shirt, rly? - Unable to change character appearance in a world where fashion is allegedly so important. - Installing implants feels the same as changing clothes. I expected that it will be more dramatic, at least give us one cutscene. All in all, this game is a perfect example of what happens when developers are forced to crunch to meet unrealistic deadlines. I'm disappointed.
