Starfleet command is a game set on recreating the starfleet battles boardgame in videogame form. It is a reasonably faithful adaptation, but rather than creating a star trek themed computer strategy game, the focous of the game was on recreating the boardgame it was based on, warts and all. It's still a reasonable game in its own right, but the sequels are better 'videogames'. The version sold here so far appears to perform well, and I have not yet experienced anything game-breaking. And the game is definitely worth the price.
There is not much to say about this game: It's fun, It's difficult, it's got a great sound track and it's dirt cheap. I guess the only thing that really bugged me was the announcer, which would often interrupt the 'flow'. On the bright side it can be disabled by removing some of the sound files. This game is worth buying. Get it.
Having played both the original and this port, all I can really say is that this PC port is a glitch riddled disappointment. It's unfortunate really, Jade Empire was a great game on the Xbox. It was a rich world with an interesting story with solid controls and fluid game-play. As it is, this port just leaves me wishing that I was playing the original. My experience has been laggy and filled with graphical glitches, and mehh Keyboard & mouse controls. It's a shame, really.
