NEO Scavenger is a great and unique game that needs a save system where you can replay from if you die. In this game dead is dead and so are your saves. You have to start again from the very beginning. I suggest the developers consider these ideas: 1. When we die in the game (not IF but WHEN) at least let us replay from outside the Cryo Facility NOT from creation and through the beginning again. Please give us this option. This is the minimum. 2. Have a second game style where the player has 3 saves. NOT multiple games with different characters JUST multiple saves for ONE character at a time. This would also have the "Just outside the Cryo" save implemented too as an option. 3. What ever you decide you should implement a score system that counts the stuff you find, the places you go etc... . Full stats, all the data you could list. Like the data page in Skyrim and other games like that. Towns visited, thugs killed, miles traveled, and all the rest. I really like this game. It's different and challenging. It has personality, style and atmosphere. However, I don't like starting over from the VERY beginning every time WHEN my character dies. At least help us with that as suggested above or if there is a better idea just don't make me start from scratch again! :-) If it wasn't for GOG Indi games like this would be very harder to find. This is the kind of game I look for when I come here. Thanks guys.
This game is beautiful, challenging and fun. The graphics are remarkable. The play is intuitive. The challenge is playable without wishing for a cheat code. Don't let the small download stop you - there is a lot of game here. If you like sim-builders this is a must have. No regrets here. This is one game that I'll be putting many hours in over time and play sessions. I am impressed. The cost per hour of play is pennies. My suggestion: Get this game.
The play is varied and interesting enough for all types of gamers. You can focus on war, economics, discovery and more. The back-story and cut scenes are epic. The voice over work may be the best I've ever heard. This game is a masterpiece.
