I can't really add much to what everyone else has said. The game was instrumental in establishing the survival horror genre. I still enjoy playing it, mostly for nostalgia. I owned the floppy disk version when I was a kid, so I was surprised when the music had a higher quality to it. While I readily acknowledge the music quality is better here (I'm assuming it came from a later cd-rom release) I find myself yearning for the original music.
