i used to replay this a lot on my 360, since i pretty much only owned it and AC2 for a good while. was surprised by how much it holds up. an incredibly confident launch title. also one of the best narrative arcs of the series despite many of its shortcomings: redemption not through penitence, but self-actualization; we are, in fact, who we choose to be.
