Glad I gave it a chance!

The dice roll mechanic seems to have put a lot of people off, but I enjoyed juggling probabilities and mitigating risks just like almost every other game, especially turn-based ones. One that comes to the forefront of my mind is the combat in fallout classic where you have to carefully decide how you best spend your AP (dice count), sometimes you need to prioritise your targets, actions have a percentage of success (dice rolls) and finally you can make use of the perks system to get bonuses (professions). Anyway, some points that helped me: * You can repair something over several deployments * Food isn't really a priority if dice are well stocked * Research points are spent lowest number first (handy if you want a 'free' shuffle)
