Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don't Dry

Made by fans, for fans

Clearly CrazyBunch consists of old school point-and-click fans. The amount of references to old games by Sierra and Lucasfilm/LucasArts is staggering. It's a great game and it keeps the feel of earlier Larry games, while updating it to the 21st century.

Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Dry Twice

Made by fans, for fans

Clearly CrazyBunch consists of old school point-and-click fans. The amount of references to old games by Sierra and Lucasfilm/LucasArts is staggering. The sequel is as good as the first one, so if you liked the first game, you will like this one.

State of Mind

Incredible light effects

The shaders. Incredibly well done light physics. I don't know what kind of voodoo black magic the developers used to create such beautiful lighting without utilising RTX cards yet not overloading the CPU/GPU with software ray tracing, but the result is one of the most beautiful worlds I have seen. If this game was an RPG character, they put most points to the shaders, some to the environment and none to the characters. The low polygon characters seem to be part of the idea of this game, however. The story is pretty good; a study in "what it is to be human". Not in Detroit: Become Human way, as this is a straight forward, linear point and click game. It tells a nice little story about fragility of our minds. Not the most profound and life altering experience, but still worth playing. And I think the low polygon characters are designed to look like porcelain dolls to reflect the easily shattered minds of humans. How the characters look tie in nicely to the story. But again, the light. It's just incredible. I have 11 hours on record (Different platform. I got it from Humble Bundle.) and I would venture 5 hours of it is gameplay and 6 hours is me just running around and looking at reflections.

GreedFall

Amazing story for flintlock fantasy fans

Amazing story. Great flintlock fantasy. I highly recommend this just for the story's sake. The fight mechanics is also nice, having different paths you can take. Leveling up is nicely balanced so you can't simply max out everything and become a master of everything. You actually have to think what playstyle suits you. And it affects everything. But besides the fight mechanics, did I already mention how great story this has? The negative parts: I played it when it was released on Steam and back then it had some minor bugs that needed to be polished out. Most common were Tetras getting frozen in t-pose and camera going in all wild angles (f.ex. in a bush or behind a barrel) during outdoors cut scenes. I'm sure those are already fixed. Hopefully these minor bugs are not an issue any longer. Sometimes on PC there's a few moments when even with RTX 2080 Ti and 32GB RAM the framerate drops significantly. Don't know if this has been fixed already. The world is not really an open world. It's very much like The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings' world. You load in to an area and in that area you have some freedom of movement, but a lot of it is paths. It kinda works, but I would have enjoyed an actual open world more. Other than that, can't think of anything else negative about this game. I'm pretty sure I already mentioned how great this story is. I will be getting Greedfall II if they make it.
