DF: BHD is actually good game, but the truth of the matter is, that it's March 2003 title so GOG claiming 2009 is purest fraudulent attempt to get $20 for old game that has been released many times for free as a bundle.
Well, Gunslinger is just shooter with nice graphic that can offer nothing but shooting. There are missing any other game mechanism, any other concepts or recognizable characteristics to this game. Moreover, this furious action is hyper-fury shooter that lacks in real memorable storyline. Average playthrough time is 4 hours so just this brings the question - wtf is this for $14 ?? In my opinion this is candidate for my top 5 worst shooters I've ever played .. It would be unfair to overrate (this) game by only how nice the graphics is because basically nice graphics + repetitive arcade-like shooting won't and shouldn't bring more than 2 stars after all .. Why the rating is so high is kinda enigmatic to me.
War is hell and this game brings you a war. Unique and non-comparable with anything else, with atmosphere thick as mercury and with hard but fair difficulty. 9/10 FPS games should learn from this. Despite this game is 15 years old, it still offers something, what most of other FPS games won't reach even with all those fancy graphic features (HD2 has nice graphics tho) and whatever else ..
Without doubts, HoI3 is the the most complete grand strategy game available .. And without doubts, you'll suffer no matter how much you will love the game. The biggest problem of hoi3 is paradox interactive and theirs approach of lazy and greedy cunts ... now on GOG (hello guys, you're great) it's not so apparent, but when the hoi3 was the current HoI game, paradox was just behaving exactly as described above .. Patches fixing bugs were bundled in paid DLCs, content was split, paradox were behaving like petty dictators on forums silenting all voices that were not praising them ... game itself is must-have for history fan, but retarded for avid player. AI is criminally stupid, there are tens of reported bugs that were ignored completely. On the other hand, if you want some grand strategy from ww2, there is no other choice so with sale on GOG, it's easy decision ... go for it if you don't have it already .. you will hate paradox, you will hate this game, but addiction works and you'll spend endless time inside ...
well, to be honest, i hated on this game truly stupid fight mechanism and few more things .. the story is cool but the major elements like combat mechanism is really ugly .. if you can get past this, you like it like rpg but i can tell you, you will hate it also .. 2/5 is my rating
