This game could have worked for me if it wasn't so bloody slow and grindy. You'll spend most of your time walking places at a slow pace and grinding for materials. So if this is what you enjoy then this game is for you.
I read a review that compared this game to Fallout 1 + 2 as well as Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magica Obscura. Mix these two series together and I'd say that's reasonably accurate. If you enjoyed those games you'll likely enjoy this one.
Really this is one of those games that breaks some new ground. In all essence this is a puzzle game mixed in a bit with exploration/adventure. The premise is to 'grow' your way through numerous rooms in a large cavern complex with unique plant/animal like creatures which you must discover and learn about. Overall I think this is one of the best games I've played in some time with my one complaint being that it is fairly short as it can easily be completed in an evening. Oh, and the voice acting is a bit horrendous...
