A very interesting old RTS with a unique setting. Definitely recommended. About the game: The good: Sci-fi with submarines; Starcraft under water. Immersive from a sci-fi perspective. Lots of submarines, buildings, technologies and game mechanics. 3 factions, 2 of which (White Sharks and Black Octopi) are human and similar and the third (Silicons) who are alien and more exotic, depth levels and underwater mountains, various submarines with different attacks and different purposes, building and vehicle capture, resource conversion and transport (with containers), teleportation, superweapons, hacking enemies and many more. Complex interface with lots of details (but also with shortcomings). Great ambiance. It looks and feels nice. You can zoom and rotate the map. The bad: It is very complex and playing well requires understanding as many game mechanics as possible. You may need to read the manual. Certain things will remain unclear even after you do. You can't double click to select multiple units of the same type. When selecting multiple units only the total number of units is shown not the composition of your selection. The stoy is simple and the writing is poor. More "Battlefield Earth" than "Alien" or "Dune". Music is mediocre. The GOG experience: The good: The game is playable and works well in windows 10. The bad: No goodies. The manual would be very usefull but it is not included and you have to look for it on the web. The game has 3 screen resolution settings 800x600 (default), 1024x 768 and 1280x1024. Switching to 1280x1024 makes the game jump from fullscreen to windowed everytime you start and end a mission since only the game is rendered at 1280x1024 while the menus are still at 800x600. Atl+Tab out of the game and then back in returns the game to fullscreen.
