Own it on steam and played it a lot. All the negatives are irrelevant. They weren't part of the early access for sure. Because if they were, they would've got the NSFW DLC for free. The game is exactly what it promise. It has good graphics, very atmospheric, fun characters and replayability. Also, it has a console for cheats.
This game really is science fiction propaganda. It's funny how the good Americans are being attacked by the bad Russians when in reality, they are the ones making conflicts all over the world...
It's funny how innovative a game from 2001 still is... such a gem. + The story is nice + The ambiance is beautiful + It has awesome lights and shadows + You can pick most of the stuff around you + Shields can break (at least the common one) + You can throw stuff (including weapons) + You can climb, dodge, run, sneak, block and attack + You can break stuff for loot + Blood and mutilations (finishing moves feel nice) + can be played with a pad + there are lots of traps - a bit clunky I don't know, I didn't find anything really negative or game-breaking. Overall, a great game.
I mean... the game is from 98! Holy Smoke... I remember playing "Deadly Shadows" in high school. I liked it but never finished it. A few years ago I finished the new Thief. The story was okay, but the gameplay was very nice. I loved the idea of climbing through windows and the lockpicking mechanic. I never played Thief 1 because I might not like such an old game... well... many things have changed. I am playing it and it is awesome. So, there is this reviewer on youtube - MandaloreGaming. He puts some links for improving the game, including the sound effects. Check it out. It runs super smooth on Win 10. :)
I mean, I heard it's good, but didn't expect it to be that good. It is tons of fun! Good audio. Gameplay is fast-paced. I am thankful for adding better controls and making it run well on new devices. The game is simply amazing! <3
The game is great. It feels old-school but the graphics are updated. I felt sorry that it was removed from the steam store... and thought the game was considered really bad or something. Well, it is here and it is great. <3 it
It hurts me to give 3 stars to a Larry game but... well... the controls here might make you mad. I have known this game for years and watched the big guys playing it as a kid. It was fun. Don't get me wrong, the humor is nice, the graphics are okay for its time and the mini-games are fun. It's an arcade game. The problem I had was with the controls. The drinking competition was bad... but somehow, I beat the first with my keyboard... the Italian chick... nope... her every hit was a score and I was barely able to hit the glass. Ugh... idk what are these guys playing with to say the mini-games are easy... the only easy one is with the swimming spermatozoid :D if you are not drunk ofc. And you have to spend money on coffee if you get drunk or you will lose your mini-games. Total garbage... It's just a disappointing game.
Modders still keep this game alive. Not only them ofc... people's love too. This is the best vampire game so far. It combines some unique mechanics that a lot of games used years later. Story - unique, facial expressions - glitchy but also live-like, atmosphere - astonishing, ost - TOP, check the moddb and nexusmods sites for some amazing addons. And don't forget to install the latest patch. Love Troika. Hate Activision.
Played the game on an old PC so many years ago and it run perfectly. Played it on newer pc, years ago and it run perfectly. Started the game from gog, loaded the menu, started the 1st mission and the loading never end... After second launch game didn't even start. I repaired the game and started it again. Reached the menu, started the 1st mission and guess what... the neverending loading screen again :) terrific.
I love it. I heard of it as a kid. Played the 2nd one first. The only problem is that it crashes from time to time. It happens the same with Enclave. I thought it was because of my PC but I am sure now that the problem is with the game. Is anyone else having the same problem?
