In Stars and Time was recommended to me by a close friend and as someone who didn't really ride the indie train for games with classic gameplay but dynamic narratives, I found it incredibly charming. All the characters are deftly written with tons of introspection and being able to see various sides of them. They are all lovable and this excels for a game that has it's cast be as important as the plot. You'll always be rooting for everyone to be happy despite anything the plot throws at you until you finish it feeling warm inside for all the time you've spent with it and it's colorful cast.
