I have been somewhat hesitant about buying the remastered versions. I have played every version at one point or another but recently I bought this version and it is my favourite now. I never realised how much I wanted these little quality of life additions that have happened throughout the series, and even more so with the remaster. These are what I think the original authors would have wanted the games to look from the get go, if the technical specifications allowed for it at the time. One feature I like best is the ability the original version at the push of a button. Of course I play the new versions most of the time but I think I looked at every ceiling clearing to compare it with the older one :D. The option for new controls seems a bit off at first, but I'm glad its there. I will try to see if I get used to it or just stick with the tank ones. Little subtletiles like the difference in sounds also add a smile now and then. Enemies seem to be a bit easier than I remember them to be, as in them taking a bit less hits to finish off, but I got a hint that I'll be able to replay it with harder difficulty later on; even if not, I always played the series for the puzzle and exploration element rather than the shooting. Maybe I should have done the review later on, when I refinished at least one of the games, but I have two hours now and am most certainly happy I bought this.

I love this title. It's a very nice mixed of exploration, action and an unfolding of an interesting story. I have not finished it, but until now it's been very fun. Reminds me of the mining part of Minecraft. One of the bonuses is that you are able to play it for small periods of time (for example, if you have 15 minutes before needing to go out or while waiting for your washing machine to finish XD ).

This game makes me remember such fun memories, trying to complete even the shareware version of it... With its fast paced, maybe even blocky, movements it was perfect for those late nights when you were supposed to sleep for the next school day XD. I didn't beat it then, but managed to recently. Now that this is the full story, nothing beats it. I tweaked some settings to make it look and feel exactly like then and boy is it a nostalgia trip!! Even with Terexin's bad jokes. :D I can't recommend it more highly!
