This version uses DOSBox. The native Windows version still works on Windows 7 64-bit with some compatibility settings tweaking but this isn't it. So why use DOSBox?
I bought this game when it came out. The bugs were so bad it wouldn't even start up. A patch was eventually released so we could actually get into the game - and man it just wasn't worth it. There's actually a good ruleset in here, but it's choked by breaking gameplay bugs and a terrible interface. Considering this came out ages after Baldur's Gate et al it is shocking just how far away it is in terms of polish. Avoid unless you are a D&D completest.
