Somewhat pretty graphics does not a fun game make. I played the first three missions of the Pacific campaign hoping that there would be something interesting to do and more of a variety than what was in the demo, but alas, there was not. There was very little to do except sometimes move your units and sometimes attack. The different abilities of the units didn't really add much and the 'specializations' were almost exclusively for naval units despite the combat of the first three missions being almost entirely land-based and generally consisted of a slow retreat across the map. I didn't think the supply system really made much of a difference and I felt I was constantly overmatched. (How is it that a coastal fortress cannon does no damage?) There is no control over entrenchment, no real combined arms or special attacks, nothing really interesting going on. Glad I bought it on sale.
