Want to get a complete game? Buy a quasilion DLCs each worth a finger, add to that the full game price you already payed for the base game and you got yourselves a cash cow. This behavior should not be supported. I hope there will be a complete edition one day that delivers the whole experience.
Unless this game comes out with a complete edition, it feels like an endless milking for cash through continues expensive DLCs. You already have to spend for the many game an equivalent price for a full game. Add to that a quasilion DLCs, each worth a finger with the nagging promise that one day -maybe- you will have collected the full game experience ... As of today that is adding up to already adding 3.6 times the price of what you already payed for the main game.
Game deserves 4.5 Stars. Plus Feral-Interactive is doing a great job on Linux-ports. Most of their games run natively under Linux. And you know, when done right (and they do), native ports perform better, than Wine/Proton wrappers. So where is that Linux option on GoG, that Feral has worked so hard on? In general, GoG, albeit beeing my favorite joice due to DRM-freedom, lacks Linux options ... a lot. Granted, it's not too bad with Tomb Raider GOTY, since that is a DX9 game and the port relies on openGL. And yeah ... not as good. So it runs better here with Proton, DXVK and game mode. But please, try to offer a Linux version, if the game does supprot it. (You can see many of the games here that are also available on Steam,, taht on there, they DO have the other ports). Other than that, great game. Hope the rest of the bunch also makes it to GoG. We need ALL the Feral games here ;)
What a surprise! I was waiting for an option to get around the low violence censored version on Steam Germany, that doersn't allow for anny updates, patches or DLCs. Even when I got the whole uncensored pack via Humble Bundle, still no claiiming it on Steam due to excessive DRM. And now it's here! Without DRM. Definitive Edition with all ... Totally unexpected. Love you GoG! Instant buy, no more waiting on Steam. No more DRM. As for the game: Very consoley game, BUT the story is still so good, I really enjoyed it nevertheless. So it's like GTA in a chinese Background with triads and Kungfu ... what's not to like.
The art-work, annimations,, riddles and story are really good. I enjoyed this little gem despite not being to fond of plattformers. It is a piece I thorroughly enjoy having in my collection and on my shelf. With the remastered version finally coming to GoG too, I am very pleased with it being offered as free update to owner of the previous special addition. So all in all, you receive the same treatment as Steam-buyers, plus having the advantage of not dealing with DRM or client-binding. *Applaus to the developpers for their choice and courage of going GoG too* So yea, buy it! Support the developpers. The few bucks are no reason to get a pirate-version of a DRM-free game.
The game is decent initself,, if you like digital card playing games. But this money milking through DLC's is just bad practice. There is a myriad of DLC to extend on th "base" game. There is no gold, full, complete or whatever edition that would let you have to whole experience. I hate when such games come with their business practisces to GoG

This is the truest and best Fallout there is out there. Yes , it might be dated, but you can mod it up to new hights making it relevant even today thanks to an awesome community and fan base. Get it on GoG since it is DRM-free and less hassle to work with. You can also get this to run on Linux decently, with some bumps (see Proton).
Thank you all for the warning January 26, 2020 As it looks there has been massive censorship, sometimes even nonsensical one (like the Japanese symbolism). One can discuss about regional laws and restrictions - but shouldn't this game then be available somewhere else without restrictions? Anyways, I totally agree that this behavior should not be supported. And there is no need. Get the old original games and get the HD mods some tireless fans where working on (search for "Commandos HDproject"). I could not find anything similar for Praetorians unfortunately. For the ones that have already boughhtit: there is talk taht you may be able to turn censorship off. I don't know, if that really works. You may wanna try: 1.) Go into Users\YOURCOMPUTERNAMEHERE\AppData\LocalLow\Kalypso Media Group GmbH\Commandos 2 HD Remaster 2.) Open COMM2.CFG with a text editor and change NOVIOLETAS from 0 to 1
