This addon was a really nice surprise for one of my favourite games of all time. What can I say, it's good, albeit not completely on par with the base game. Some of the new areas are a bit too long for what they are, and feel quite stretched. Also the art is not absolutely up to the standarts of the base game, and many of the new areas are missing the colorefull ambiente of the original, a lot of brown and dark green forests and mountains to bee found here. However, the new Mastery is quite fun, and in a way the norse and celtic mythology is quite fitting with the rest of the game. Extra kudos here for including celtic mythology like that in the game, I have never seen a better depicition in a videogame yet. All in all a quite worthy expansion to a still fantastic game!

Usually in RPGS, the main plot is rather bland while the small side quests and characters are the real stars of the game. Not so in PoE2: The whole main plot of Eothas and the Wheel is one of the best ones if have seen since probably Mask of the Betrayer. The highpoint of PoE1 was its ending, and this game continues just as great. I just had to know how the story continous, every time the game focuses on its main story, it absolutely shines. Gameplay is improved a bit, from the first title, I especially like the dual classing options. The only two real downsides for me are that some of the sidequests and characters could be more interesting. Oh, and the loading times. They are abysimal, UGH.

Patrick Steward narrates the game in the english Version! This game has one of the most enganging openings of any game I've every played, it sucks you right in, and lever lets you go again. Difficulty is spot on between too hard and too easy. Even the grafics hold up somewaht decently. The biggest strength of this game is its excellent pacing. It's exactly the right length for the gameplay it has to offer, and there is just enough quite well written Story and Dialog in between the action to always keep you motivated. I can only recomend Demon Stone, this game has no mayor flaw, but a lot of strenghts. It's that one action game that has been missing from you life so far.

No other game has a world, that is created as well as the world of Gothic. Add on top of that a very well balanced and paced gameplay, and you get this masterpiece. Gothic 1 for me still is the Gold-Standard of open world games, that no other game ever reached. There is no other World where exploring ever felt as rewarding as in this one, without holdind the players hand to much. The game strikes a perfect balance in that regard. The Characters are very believable, and a lot more lifelike than in traditional fantasy games as well. Gothic 1 does not try to stuff its pretty good story down your throat, it let's you experience it. Can not recomend this game more, everybody should have played it, it's a absolute masterpiece.

An absolutely grandious game. In my opinion it is slightly worse than Gothic 1, because the balancing and pacing are slightly worse, but the gameworld is just a marvel to behold. Especially the Maya-Inspired world of the expansion is designed amazingly well.
