The whole dlc was doomed

Pro: - cut scenes - new clan mechs and weapon - academies and perks (included in base game after dlc related update) - new terrain and structures Con: - "elite warrior" still zig-zags towards you without any sense - cut scenes and voice files are 100 times more dramatic than the actual missions - new tech is out of balance to make clanners a bit more dangerous - after getting clan tech most mechs can be one/two shot kills on CT - academies with random perks seem to be a gambling experience to extend grind - perks only for your minion pilots, player cant unlock any perks (unless modded) - lots of new bugs many floating rocks, missing map sections, ... - old bugs getting worse. front armor impacts applied to rear armor and mechs and vehicles getting stuck much more often. also sound bugs appear way more frequent The whole dlc was doomed due to the terrible AI. It all seems total fake after killing hundreds of clanners during the few campaign missions. I mean for real! You just gonna slaughter so many of them that the whole concept breaks. The cut scenes might be nice, but after killing so many clanners its just silly everybody makes such a drama... "Just let me deal with this invasion, i can kill them all!" If you already own the base game, i guess its Ok in sale for the sake of completing this fragmented game. If you are attracted by this dlc to possibly purchase MW5... Fighting terrible enemies with compangions i often have to babysit isnt exactly a great experience for me and i just havent given up to fix this with mods. That is the most honest thing i can say about my relationship with this game. For sure the last PG product for me until they get much better with AI.

This game should have been early access

To just make it short here what is really wrong about MW4 Mers - worst AI ever, no tactics at all (includes lance mates) - due to bad AI the player just gets hammered with tanks and mechs - too much grind for constantly repeating generic missions, hard to not lose fun before finishing campaign - even the quests and most part of the campaign are standard generic missions just with some custom mission text and voice - all ~20 missions you get some tanks or mechs stuck in terrain - stuck units may drop out of map (if mission includes killing all enemies it means the mission breaks) - base game is just a frame for dlc's and mods (mods are great, but only if a game doesnt fully rely on it) - dlc's break the mods and add the mods content for you to pay - only orders for lance mates: "go there", "follow me", "stop/start shooting", "attack my target (and ignore all others)" If MW4 Mers would have been advertised as pure mod frame and updates would be made in coordination with major modders, the game would be good for the most part (except the terrible AI). But as it is, i feel ripped off. Just because the last dlc related update broke my major mods, i will not spend money on it to get back half of the mods content. Piranha Games gets on my black lists for this marketing strategy.
