Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

All Time Greatest Game

This game takes what was great about the original Mount & Blade series and turns it into something unbelievable. I've sunk so much time into this game that I've entirely lost track. Every time I return for a new campaign, I'm sucked into it all over again. In it's earliest state, I can see how others would give the game less than 5 stars. I started playing the game at v1.5.4 and haven't experienced any game breaking bugs or anything that would impede upon my progress in the game. Commanding your soldiers has never been more engaging and entertaining. The feeling of riding around a battlefield while your Bogatyr Sturgian hero is shouting out commands is indescribable. Combat itself is engaging and requires a bit more skill than the "smack till it's dead" type combat you see from Skyrim, for example. I further absolutely adore the clan system that is in this game. Having brothers and sisters that look similar to your character and are believably related to them based on looks is amazing to me; I love the fantasy of rolling around the countryside with my brother at my side hacking up looters and fighting stinky Battanians. I could go on, and on, and on about this game. I'm absolutely infatuated with it and it's worth every dime even in its early access state.
